October 30, 2026 – Twin Valley Co-op was thrilled to award Binscarth School as the inaugural recipient of the Rooted in Communities Fund for 2026.

The $20,000 donation was presented by Twin Valley Co-op Board President, Jim Boucher and General Manager, Ashley Moulson to Binscarth School Principal, Alana Wieringa and a few of the students at the school.

Funding will help transform the school's exterior entrance and public parking area, improving first impressions and creating a more inviting environment for everyone who visits Binscarth School.

As the first recipient of the newly launched program, Binscarth School is helping set the stage for what Twin Valley Co-op hopes will become an annual tradition of supporting impactful community projects across its trading area.

The Rooted in Communities Fund provides one local non-profit organization each year with a one-time donation of up to $20,000 for a project that creates a lasting positive impact within the Twin Valley Co-op trading area. The program reflects Twin Valley Co-op's ongoing commitment to reinvesting in the communities it serves and helping local organizations build stronger futures.
