YARD PERSON at ROSSBURN AGRO

We are seeking applicants who have an interest in furthering their career. Agricultural experience preferred but will consider other Must be a team player, looking for growth and new challenge

RESPONSIBILTIES:
The successful applicant will be responsible to carry out Yard/Store duties in a safe, timely, and efficient manner while providing exceptional customer service to all local Co-op employees and customers. This includes the safe operation, preparation, and inspection of the equipment, units and functions needed to fulfill the duties.
• Agro Clerk duties – customer service within retail store, deliveries
• Fertilizer plant (loading and unloading fertilizer, cleaning up spills, general maintenance etc.)
• Chemical Shed – loading and unloading chemical, filling customer orders
• Feed Shed – loading and unloading feed, filling customer orders
• Loading and unloading - water tanks, fence posts, barbed wire, twine, troughs, livestock equipment etc.
• Yard Maintenance – mowing grass, spraying weeds, painting etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Class 5 driver’s license required. Forklift experience an asset.
• Must be physically capable of lifting (50+lbs), bending, kneeling, walking, shoveling, etc.
• Farm knowledge, experience, background an asset.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Applicants must be willing to work outdoors in all seasons.

HOURS:
• Monday to Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Extended hours, overtime, weekends may be required as needed.

COMPENSATION:
• Our team members receive competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefit package, an employer-contributed pension plan, health and wellness program and employee incentive program.
• Range is approx. $18-$20.00 per hour depending on experience, with opportunity to advance within our organization.
